In 2015, Megger implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial system, establishing the enterprise financial management backbone across the organization. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 provided the core transactional and financial control platform used for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial reporting covering the companys ERP Financial needs.
Between April 2023 and December 2023, Megger executed a major infrastructure and platform program that migrated the ECC environments to Amazon Web Services and upgraded the ECC database to SAP HANA alongside the latest enhancement pack. The initiative was delivered with implementation support from NTT Data and involved replatforming ECC to the cloud to improve reliability, scalability and database performance, while addressing data residency concerns and creating a clear path toward a future S4HANA migration.
The program managed more than 30 interfaces into ECC and required close coordination between infrastructure and SAP application teams, with a distributed core project team that expanded to 100+ contributors during user acceptance testing. Risk mitigation activities included conducting audits, establishing clear ownership for interfaces and build components, and instituting robust quality assurance and cut over processes to preserve business continuity throughout the go live window.
Project governance required re sequencing of the plan and adjustments to resource allocations after the blueprint phase, actions that recovered roughly 50 percent of schedule slippage and resulted in delivery under the revised budget forecast. Cut over to the cloud based SAP HANA environment completed with limited disruption and few post go live issues, positioning Megger to leverage the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment on cloud infrastructure for further functional and platform evolution.

A bespoke communication plan for UK, US, and Sweden ensured consistent messaging during the phased rollout, and change activities were aligned with broader business objectives for global HR standardization.
Governance for the first phase incorporated a dedicated change management stream led by a part-time Change Manager between September 2024 and May 2025, who executed a persona-led change approach, conducted readiness assessments, and developed targeted communications. Those activities drove increased employee adoption and supported a seamless transition for employees, while documenting impacts and mitigation steps for subsequent rollout phases.
