The platform was used to capture payroll inputs, calculate withholding for NSQ stock option exercises or sales, and produce payroll accounting outputs including journal entries and account reconciliations for accrued payroll, taxes, bonuses and 401K liabilities.
Operational integrations and coverage included direct administration of the 401K lifecycle through coordination with Fidelity for enrollments, terminations, non discriminatory testing and compliance reporting, and procedural interfaces with accounting for payroll month end closings and payroll related reconciliations. ADP Workforce Now was positioned to support recurring payroll related testing and audit support, including workers compensation and 401K audit procedures.
Governance and process changes emphasized structured payroll controls, periodic payroll testing, and formalized audit and reporting responsibilities, with a dedicated payroll specialist managing payroll execution, benefits changes, equity plan tax withholding and month end accounting deliverables.
