Data flows were integrated from control system sensors, laboratory equipment, transformers and switchgear into ABB Ability and into ABBs control center, enabling centralized visibility and remote diagnostics. The deployment connected multiple component classes to the control center which supports factory runnability and operational oversight across the mill, aligning plant floor instrumentation with enterprise maintenance teams.
Governance and rollout focused on embedding analytics into operational practice, increasing the possibility of analysis while offering all monitoring and optimization tools in one environment as reported by ABBs Digitalization Manager. Detecting errors before they occur on all components is stated as a program objective, and the implementation is described as helping increase the factory performance and runnability.
