In 2012, Milliman implemented FIS Relius for Benefits Administration,Pension Administration to centralize pension recordkeeping and plan administration functions. The deployment established FIS Relius as the core record keeping system supporting client managers, processing teams and compliance groups across Milliman's defined contribution and pension service lines.
Configuration work emphasized census data intake and validation, plan asset reconciliation, quarterly valuations, loan default tracking and reporting workflows used for Form 5500 and Summary Annual Report preparation. FIS Relius was configured to generate standard and ad hoc reports and to support website updates for plan notifications, fund swaps and other plan communications.
Operational workflows produced reports directly from the record keeping system referenced in operational notes as Relius/Omni, and outputs were used to coordinate with investment advisors, client contacts and operations for fund changes, reconciliations and compliance testing. The implementation supported teams responsible for audit responses, data preparation for compliance testing and ongoing monitoring of plan compliance.
Administration governance formalized primary day to day contacts and backup client managers who were accountable for review of census data, reconciliation of plan assets, quarterly valuations and monitoring compliance. FIS Relius therefore served as Milliman FIS Relius Benefits Administration,Pension Administration platform linking recordkeeping, reporting and compliance workflows for client service and operational teams.
