The implementation emphasized workflow configuration and role based tasking to enable HR coordinators and recruiters to coordinate screening steps and clearance gates within the overall onboarding process.
Integration coverage included direct operational use alongside the Lawson HR system and Position Manager, and concurrent use with Universal Background Screening as an operational comparator, with candidate demographic and clearance status recorded and updated in Lawson. The rollout tied Sterling Background Check outputs into existing HR intake and orientation activities, with data entry and verification routines performed by HR representatives as part of standard hiring handoffs.
Governance and process adjustments accompanied the implementation, with cross training of administrative and recruitment staff, biweekly orientation coordination, and explicit follow up procedures for incomplete candidate files. The implementation emphasized self service visualization capabilities alongside published corporate reports to balance analyst driven exploration with governed distribution.
The project integrated closely with Microsoft SQL Server for source and warehoused data, leveraged SSIS for ETL pipelines and incorporated SSRS artifacts where appropriate to migrate existing reports into the Power BI reporting fabric. Staff proficiency in SQL, SSIS and SSRS was a core operational signal, and the deployment acknowledged parallel visualization tooling expertise including Qlik and Tableau when managing report standardization.
Governance focused on establishing certified datasets, role based access controls and a centralized report catalog to standardize report lifecycle and consumption workflows.
