In 2015, Multiplex UK implemented IFS Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform to enforce global consistency across regions while preserving regional accounting and operational nuances. The deployment targeted core finance and project accounting workflows to unify financial control, reporting, and process orchestration across Multiplex operations.
The IFS Cloud ERP implementation encompassed standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, project cost control, and financial consolidation and reporting. Configuration focused on standardized chart of accounts and common transaction flows, combined with configurable rules to respect regional tax and statutory requirements.
Operational coverage extended across Multiplex business units and regions, aligning finance, project controls, and commercial teams around a single application platform. Governance was restructured to centralize financial policies and reporting frameworks while allowing regional process variance through configurable application settings and role based controls.
Reported outcomes from the IFS Cloud ERP rollout included increased operational agility, faster and more accurate reporting, and streamlined financial processes. These outcomes reflect the platform’s role in unifying finance and project accounting under a single ERP Financial application for Multiplex UK.

| IFS | Legacy | IFS Field Service Management (FSM) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Multiplex UK deployed IFS Field Service Management (FSM) to support its construction projects organization and to standardize field service workflows across regions. The implementation targeted the companywide IFS footprint of roughly 1,000 users, split between 250 finance users and 750 projects users, and responded to the operational need for ongoing training and support as regions sequentially went live. Field Service Management was positioned to manage field work execution and to centralize service processes for project delivery teams.
The configuration emphasized modules and capabilities typical of Field Service Management, including work order management, scheduling and dispatch, mobile worker enablement for onsite execution, asset and site-based service tracking, and service contract visibility to support construction project workflows. IFS Field Service Management was adapted to the project-centric operational model of the Projects group, with configuration focused on field task orchestration and mobile access to reduce on-site administrative overhead.
Multiplex adopted ClickLearn as a delivery and support channel to provide global training content and ongoing user assistance, which reduced the need for repeated in-person training. The dedicated efforts of Spencer and the IFS implementation team enabled a smooth implementation process and allowed Spencer to further explore IFS FSM functionality to expand services and build new tools for customers. Training governance was centralized under Erin Pidcock, Operational Development Manager, who managed continuous training and support for the Projects organization.
Rollout governance combined phased regional go‑lives with centralized training and support ownership, enabling operational continuity as each region activated the system. The implementation explicitly produced cost savings in training and support and delivered a smoother deployment experience, as reported by Multiplex stakeholders.
