Operationally the solution was embedded within the bank's centralized administrative support model and used directly by teams performing leave approvals and onboarding activities, including executive support staff who processed leave in SAP as part of broader administrative tasks. Where noted, leave management actions in SAP interfaced with onboarding and expense related administrative processes managed by the same central teams, preserving a single source of record for employee absence status and related administrative approvals.
Governance around the SAP HCM Leave Management rollout included cross functional working groups that developed standard operating procedures and reference guides to standardize leave approvals and onboarding handoffs.
