In 2023, Nestle implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as a core ERP Financial initiative to create reusable M&A playbooks and accelerate transactional integrations tied to brand acquisitions and buybacks. The engagement targeted rapid, repeatable deployment patterns to support M&A scenarios such as the Nespresso KSA acquisition and subsequent reuse in South Africa, aligning application configuration to business processes across retail, e-commerce and wholesale channels.
The implementation deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations alongside Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management and Commerce modules, with later rollouts of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Field Service, Real-Time Marketing and Dynamics 365 Sales. The program integrated low-code and no-code extensions built on Power Platform, enterprise contract automation, and analytics via Power BI and Azure Data Lake to provide reporting, sales analytics and contract workflows within the ERP Financial boundary.
Operational integration work included point-of-sale system installation across physical stores, call center connectivity for third-party vendors, and interfaces to warehousing, logistics, order fulfilment and inventory replenishment providers. KPMG acted as the system integrator on the program, working with Microsoft Customer Success Account Managers and Cloud Solution Architects to address technical governance, compliance and rollout orchestration across sites in Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
Governance was organized around Nestle’s Seed framework, which codified reusable configurations, test plans and deployment scripts to standardize divestiture, acquisition and stock buyback projects and to speed time to production. Outcomes explicitly cited from the program included improved accounting and supply chain reporting, local data privacy compliance, faster in-store POS transactions, improved call center resolution and store productivity, and an 80 percent reuse rate of the Seed framework in the South Africa buyout.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Nestle implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits to extend its existing Employee Central footprint and address benefits management within its French HR environment. The deployment is categorized under Benefits Administration and was aligned with prior SuccessFactors Core HR work for the French market, positioning the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits application as the central benefits management layer for HR and compensation planning.
The implementation focused on standard Benefits Administration capabilities, including configuration of benefits eligibility rules, enrollment workflows, benefits data modelling, and plan lifecycle management. Configuration work incorporated French legal and contractual requirements, and the scope included functional modules for administration, compensation and benefits coordination, and employee self service for enrollments and life event changes.
Integrations centered on synchronization with SAP HR payroll and Employee Central master data, informed by payroll impact analyses performed by Nestle HRIS payroll experts. The solution was designed to support HR operations, payroll teams, HR business partners and managers in France, and to interoperate with ongoing HR projects such as new company creation, reorganisations and implementation of new legal agreements that affect payroll and benefits.
Governance and rollout activities included training and post go live support for the HR community, creation of new HR processes and user guides, and workshops with managers and HRBP to capture requirements and continuous improvement opportunities. HR Projects management responsibilities covered analysis of legal and company agreement impacts on SAP HR and SuccessFactors, and ongoing technical issue review and process refinement to maintain alignment between benefits administration, payroll and core HR processes.
