In 2009, Nespresso implemented Nessoft (In-house ERP) as its ERP Financial platform. The in-house deployment centralized core finance processing and reporting across the corporate finance organization, covering boutique accounts, department store concessions such as Selfridges UK and Brown Thomas IE, and all Nespresso sites for petty cash administration.
Nessoft (In-house ERP) was configured to support General Ledger entry input including processing journal entries, adjustments, and transfers, month-end accruals and prepayments, and recurring journal workflows to enable on time and accurate month end reporting. The application included bank reconciliation and daily cash management, reconciliation of online payment streams, management of seven boutique accounts and seven cash float accounts, CAPEX account reconciliation and an asset register with creation, depreciation, and disposal functionality. Sales reporting capabilities produced and distributed internal monthly B2B and B2C sales reports for the management team, and budget management with monthly variance tracking was implemented.
Operational coverage emphasized finance and treasury functions, retail finance for boutiques and department store reconciliations, and corporate budgeting processes. Reconciliations explicitly spanned online payments and specific store account relationships, while petty cash administration and daily bank reconciliations were maintained for all Nespresso sites.
Governance and workflow design within Nessoft established standardized month-end close controls, defined responsibilities for balance sheet reconciliations including department store accounts, and routine processes for cost centre clean-up and asset lifecycle management. The setup delivered on time and quality daily bank reconciliations and supported consistent month-end reporting and distribution to the management team.

Nespresso implemented UKG Workforce Central (ex Kronos Workforce Central) in 2016 for Workforce Management to centralize timekeeping, absence handling, and routine HR administrative processes across sites.
The implementation configured time and attendance capabilities using the Kronos time management engine, administration workflows for arrivals, departures and transfers, and case management for illness and accident tracking. Functional modules accommodated tracking of births and family allowance entitlements, management of work permits and authorizations, organization of onboarding days and HR events, and structured screening workflows including candidate tracking, organization of interviews, first interviews and candidate testing.
Integration points included synchronization of employee master data updates with SAP, and operational coordination of payroll activities through UKG Workforce Central. Operational coverage spanned HR departments across the three production centers with intersite communication and joint HR training activities, plus ongoing updates to HR files, KPI reporting and procedural documentation.
Governance and process restructuring emphasized centralized updates to personnel records, coordinated payroll handoffs, standardized screening and interview procedures, and systematic monitoring of permits and compliance authorizations. The deployment positioned UKG Workforce Central as the core Workforce Management system for Nespresso HR, payroll coordination and recruitment screening workflows.

In 2020, Nespresso implemented Microsoft Power BI to strengthen its Analytics and BI capability within the Finance organization, with an initial operational focus on Nespresso UK including London and Gatwick Airport. The deployment was positioned to support monthly forecast cycles and yearly budgeting activities led by the Planning and Reporting Analyst role and coordinated with the CFO and Controllers.
The Microsoft Power BI implementation concentrated on finance reporting and forecasting functionality, delivering interactive dashboards and consolidated financial reports to serve as a source of truth for the Finance team. Configuration work included building forecast and actuals reporting views, and developing Excel templates that smoothen both Actuals and Forecast activities to standardize inputs and reporting flows.
Power BI was developed alongside SAP Webi and Excel tools to produce unified reporting for controllers and the CFO, with reports and dashboards used directly by planning analysts and controllers for daily and ad hoc tasks. The rollout emphasized close liaison with finance leadership to revamp and establish simpler, effective forecasting processes and reporting standards across the UK finance function.
Governance was structured around monthly forecast and annual budget processes, with the Planning and Reporting Analyst coordinating requirements gathering, report design, and ongoing support for controllers. Microsoft Power BI, as an Analytics and BI platform, was embedded into reporting workflows to centralize finance reporting, improve visibility for stakeholders, and operationalize standardized forecasting processes.
