In 2019 NetLink NBN Trust implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform to centralize fixed asset accounting and network asset lifecycle reporting. The deployment positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to serve accounting, fixed asset management, and cross-departmental financial reporting for the communications operator.
Configuration focused on the SAP fixed asset accounting capabilities, augmented by bespoke Excel automation for accuracy analysis. Team members used Excel VBA, Vlookup, index match and pivot tables to validate large asset datasets and to produce lifecycle reports, pairing SAP master data with spreadsheet-driven analysis.
The implementation was integrated with a new RFID Fixed Asset Management System designed and implemented by the Fixed Asset team to enable physical verification across all 12 Co-Location sites island wide. RFID verification fed into asset reconciliation workflows and was used alongside SAP ERP ECC 6.0 records and Excel reports to accelerate asset verification, improve accountability, and link physical scans to financial records.
Governance and process changes were led by the Fixed Asset team, who developed standardized reporting to review network asset lifecycles across multiple departments. The lifecycle and cost reduction analysis produced from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 data and spreadsheet models was presented to and approved by the Board of Directors, resulting in an explicit cost reduction of about $500,000.

Cyient, in collaboration with Amdocs, installed and configured GE Smallworld 5.1 GIS, implementing planning and design modules to model fiber to the x including homes and businesses. Key functional capabilities delivered through GE Digital Smallworld GIS include geospatial network planning and design, topological modeling for FTTx, and data consolidation to support planning, operations, fulfillment, and assurance workflows.
The GIS subsystem was integrated into a broader Amdocs BSS/OSS suite where Amdocs acted as solution provider and prime system integrator. Explicitly stated integrations include the Amdocs online portal, billing, order orchestration and service order management, workforce management, and service assurance components, enabling end-to-end operational support and order-to-fulfill orchestration within the NGBOSS program.
The project scope covered consolidation and migration of business processes and network data from existing systems to the new environment while preserving live operations, with Cyient providing ongoing maintenance and support of the GIS subsystem. Operational coverage focused on NetLink NBN Trust’s planning, operations, fulfillment and assurance teams in Singapore, and governance centered on coordinated system integration under Amdocs with Cyient responsible for Smallworld configuration, installation and sustainment.
