| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 NZ Police implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as a cornerstone of its ERP Financial environment. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was deployed to establish a central HR and finance platform that underpins the agency's workforce and financial recordkeeping.
The implementation positions SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as NZ Police's core HR system while operating within a broader ERP Financial topology, supporting standard human capital management and financial accounting capabilities typical of the category. Configuration emphasis has centered on core employee master data, payroll adjacencies, and integration-ready finance processes, with SAP Finance and Concur linked into the overall financial control framework.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 is integrated with cloud HR and workforce tools, including SuccessFactors for recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and UKG Kronos for rostering and scheduling. Together with SAP Finance and Concur, these systems are composed into the MyPolice workforce management system, creating an operational stack that spans HR, rostering, scheduling, learning, and expense and finance workflows across policing business functions.
Operationally the rollout impacts HR, workforce operations, scheduling, and finance functions across NZ Police. The MyPolice system, which includes SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and UKG, has been previously flagged as unreliable and at risk of failure, and assessed as insufficient to meet operational needs, creating constraints on improvements to policing service delivery.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, NZ Police implemented SAP HCM (HR) to support Core HR functions across the organization. The deployment was part of a broader SAP landscape where teams developed and maintained SAP SuccessFactors, HCM, FICO and SRM systems for more than 16,000 users, establishing SAP HCM (HR) as the central Core HR application for personnel and workforce administration.
The implementation covered standard Core HR capabilities, including personnel administration, payroll and time management workflows, augmented by identity and access management automation. The team configured SAP Identity Management including Virtual Directory Services, handled user provisioning and troubleshooting, and produced SQL scripts to support operational diagnostics and SAP Security and IDM reporting.
Integrations were extensive and explicitly bridged SAP ABAP, Fiori and JAVA front ends with SuccessFactors, Kronos timekeeping, the ARC telephone system and Microsoft Active Directory, enabling centralized identity synchronization and authentication flows. User license administration was managed centrally across all SAP systems through Solution Manager SLAW2, and ongoing collaboration occurred with SAP Basis, BI, HCM, Active Directory and Telephony teams to maintain end to end operational integrity.
Governance activities included maintaining security and IDM documentation and supporting both internal and external auditing processes, reinforcing access control and audit readiness. Operational ownership emphasized role based provisioning, ongoing troubleshooting procedures, and cross team workflows to manage user lifecycle, security reporting and license entitlements within the SAP HCM (HR) Core HR environment.

| Cisco Systems | Legacy | Cisco Webex Meetings | Audio Video and Web Conferencing | Collaboration | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, NZ Police implemented Cisco Webex Meetings as a web conferencing capability accessible from police.govt.nz. Cisco Webex Meetings serves as the agency's Audio Video and Web Conferencing application for public-facing meeting links and internal collaboration sessions.
The deployment configures standard Webex Meetings functionality including scheduled sessions, ad hoc video conferencing, screen sharing, recording, and host moderation controls, aligned with typical Audio Video and Web Conferencing workflows. Meeting provisioning is embedded into website pages and public communications channels to enable virtual engagements with community stakeholders while separating public and internal meeting flows through role-based host assignments and registration controls.
Operational coverage is agency-wide across New Zealand, supporting remote collaboration for operational coordination and public engagement. The implementation emphasizes browser-based access and mobile client availability consistent with Cisco Webex Meetings capabilities, leveraging web-embedded meeting flows and standard Webex client access patterns.
Governance and workflow adjustments center on host permissioning, meeting registration, and recording controls to meet public sector communication needs, and on operational procedures for scheduling and moderating virtual sessions. Cisco Webex Meetings is positioned to support NZ Police Audio Video and Web Conferencing needs across public engagement and internal operational collaboration.
