In 2019, Nordson Medical implemented IFS ERP as its ERP Financial system. The program established a corporate strategy to standardize on IFS Applications as the single supply chain management software across the organization, replacing Sage 300 ERP formerly Accpac and consolidating financial and operational processes.
Arbour Group performed consulting and executed a risk based validation of the regulated GMP uses of the core installation of IFS Applications. Validation activities included development of planning and requirements documentation, authoring and execution of test scripts, and preparation of summary validation deliverables covering a comprehensive set of modules aligned to finance, supply chain and quality related processes.
The IFS Applications deployment was configured to enable business integration of processes and data across multiple locations, and the IFS ERP user interface was leveraged to organize tasks and roles within users work environments. Operational scope emphasized cross site data consistency for supply chain and financial functions, and the implementation narrative identifies configuration and test coverage for regulated workflows.
Governance for the rollout followed a risk based validation approach to support regulated uses, and validation artifacts were produced to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulatory guidance including US Food and Drug Administration 21 CFR Parts 11 and 820 as well as applicable international regulations and industry best practices.

In 2021, Nordson Medical implemented DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution on its public website to enable electronic signature capture for externally facing document execution. The deployment uses DocuSign eSignature to provide web-embedded signature workflows and digital signature verification for documents presented via the corporate site.
The implementation configured core DocuSign eSignature capabilities common to Digital Signing deployments, including envelope management, recipient routing and authentication, templated signing flows, and audit trail capture to support compliant electronic records. DocuSign eSignature was embedded into customer interaction points on the website to streamline signature initiation and completion without requiring bespoke local signing infrastructure.
Operational coverage centers on web-based signature capture for externally directed documents, aligning the Digital Signing capability with contract administration and customer approval processes. Governance was structured around centralized template control, signing policy enforcement and audit logging to maintain consistent signing practices and traceability across the documented signature lifecycle.
The architecture emphasizes an embedded signing model hosted on the corporate website, with controls for authentication and provenance provided by DocuSign eSignature components. This configuration positions the Digital Signing capability as the primary mechanism for online document execution for Nordson Medical’s externally facing transactions.
