Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial ERP Financial Management Fellowmind 2021 2022
In 2021, Normet Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the ERP Financial backbone of a broader service orchestration and asset lifecycle platform. The deployment was explicitly targeted at transforming Normet’s service business, field operations, parts logistics, and financial operations to support a move toward service oriented offerings and operating hours as a service. The implementation combined Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations with Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Sales, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Office 365, Azure Analytics, and IoT services, augmented by end user applications and the SmartCare solution developed and delivered by Fellowmind. SmartCare centralizes fieldwork control and service center workflows, implements proactive maintenance across the equipment life cycle, and uses an Azure based forecasting engine and sensor telemetry to anticipate maintenance needs and spare parts requirements. Architecturally the platform is cloud centered, with sensors feeding IoT streams into Azure Analytics and the Azure forecasting system, which in turn drive work orders and scheduling in Dynamics 365 Field Service and business transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Fellowmind acted as strategic partner responsible for design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the integrated stack, and the solution includes mobile and augmented reality assisted end user applications that deliver device history, diagnostics, and guided workflows to field technicians. Operational coverage is global and ongoing, with rollouts across the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Russia, China, Canada, South Africa, Peru, Chile, and Finland. The platform controls thousands of devices and their consumables and spare parts, and it is applied across Normet’s service organization, field technicians, and service centers to manage scheduling, parts availability, and remote service scenarios. Governance and process changes center on a new SmartCare led operating model managed jointly with Fellowmind, where all fieldwork is recorded and used to optimize device life cycles and spare parts logistics. Explicitly reported outcomes include a 360 view of the business, increased sales of spare parts, improved occupational safety, higher quality of service, higher equipment utilization, more efficient use of service resources, measurable savings in euros from reduced coordination and travel, and accelerated payback as the platform is rolled out.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service Field Service Management ERP Services and Operations Fellowmind 2021 2022
In 2021 Normet Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service as the cornerstone of a Field Service Management platform designed to digitize customer service and connected operations. The implementation was delivered and is maintained by Fellowmind and is positioned alongside Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Sales, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Office 365, Azure Analytics, and IoT services to create an integrated servicing and commercial stack. The core implementation centers on the SmartCare solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service and Azure forecasting capabilities, enabling proactive maintenance and lifecycle management. Functional modules include mobile work orders and scheduling, remote diagnostics driven by continuous IoT telemetry, spare parts availability planning, device history and analytics, and a technician-facing mobile application that consolidates task instructions and service records. The platform also incorporates D365 Guides Application for augmented reality assisted installation and training workflows. Architecturally the solution combines on-device sensors feeding Azure-based analytics and forecasting, Dynamics 365 operational modules for service and finance, and Fellowmind developed end-user applications that present a unified operational view. Integrations explicitly implemented include Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Sales for commercial and case management flows, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations for financial and parts billing processes, Office 365 for collaboration, and Azure IoT and Analytics for telemetry ingestion and predictive forecasting. Fellowmind is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the full platform. Operational scope spans Normet service centers and fieldwork across multiple countries, with rollouts underway in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Russia, China, Canada, South Africa, Peru, Chile, and Finland. Business functions impacted include field service operations, installation and maintenance, spare parts sales, service management, and customer service, with operational controls centralized through the SmartCare solution to provide a 360-view and real-time drill down to individual ongoing services. Governance and process changes established a proactive maintenance model and a new operating model that enables outcome based services such as selling operating hours as a service. Explicitly reported outcomes from the deployment include increased spare parts sales, faster and higher quality service for customers, improved occupational safety through connected monitoring, more efficient use of service resources, and a platform that is paying back faster than expected while capturing full lifecycle records for continuous optimization.
