In 2015 NYK Group Europe implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as a Europe-wide SaaS deployment, covering 20 reporting entities across 10 locations with a £3m budget. The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation targeted ERP Financial capabilities to centralize finance, procurement, treasury and shipping related financial processes across the European operational footprint.
The deployment configured functional modules including integrated procurement workflows, automated banking and treasury functions, automated VAT compliance functionality, a consolidated reporting suite, and shipping and logistics industry specific functionality. Configuration work emphasized transaction standardization, chart of accounts alignment, and configurable automation rules to support VAT and banking automation across multiple legal entities.
Operational coverage extended to finance and procurement teams across the ten European sites and the twenty reporting entities, with the implementation orchestrating entity-level reporting and cross-entity financial consolidation workflows. Integrations were implemented to support automated banking and procurement workflow automation, and the reporting suite aggregated multi-entity financial data for statutory and management reporting.
Project governance included European gap analysis and legal requirement reviews, end to end testing plans across phases, a structured training program and change management to secure senior buy in and user adoption. The team reworked policies and procedures to embed new controls, managed the RFI RFP RFQ and due diligence stages during vendor selection, and executed pre go live project management. The program successfully delivered on time and achieved go live across the defined entities within the stated deadlines.

In 2015 NYK Group Europe implemented Oracle Cloud EPM to establish a centralized planning and reporting capability within the EPM category. The deployment emphasized Oracle Cloud EPM Planning as the primary application, aligning planning, budgeting and forecasting workflows with the companys finance and procurement business functions.
Configuration and ongoing administration were handled by internal Business Support and Digital Business Analyst teams, who administered, configured and supported Oracle Cloud EPM while developing reports and datasets per business specifications. The implementation included functional configuration for planning models, metadata management and report generation, and the Oracle Cloud EPM application was used as the authoritative planning layer for financial planning activities.
Integrations were explicitly aligned with the existing Oracle Fusion ERP Financials / Procurement stack and the BASSnet Fleet Management System to feed ledger, procurement and fleet cost data into planning and reporting datasets. Operational coverage included finance, procurement and fleet operations, with Oracle Cloud EPM supplying consolidated datasets and management reports consumed by business support and finance teams.
Governance was formalized through structured requirement gathering, translation of high level business requirements into functional specifications, and management of third party delivery against support agreements. Day to day operational controls included registration and analysis of service calls with escalation, development of corrective action plans, data quality analysis and regular training and presentations to business users, preserving a clear linkage between Oracle Cloud EPM and enterprise planning workflows.
