In 2021 Olympus implemented Genpact Cora APFlow as part of a global GBS transformation to consolidate accounts payable, deploying an AP Automation solution to create a unified AP user experience across multiple ERPs. The deployment targeted finance and accounts payable operations and centralized processing to support roughly 200,000 invoices annually across nine countries, with coverage explicitly called out across Asia and broader global regions.
Genpact Cora APFlow was configured to provide end to end AP Automation capabilities including automated invoice capture, workflow orchestration for approvals, exception routing and electronic payment orchestration, alongside persistent audit trails for invoice lifecycle events. Configuration emphasized standardized invoice workflows and configurable rules to harmonize processing across disparate ERP posting and approval requirements.
The implementation integrated with multiple ERPs to enable straight through processing where possible and to provide a single operational view for AP teams within the GBS construct, while retaining region specific posting and tax handling in local systems. Operational scope included centralized processing hubs and regional AP teams, with shared services governance to manage exceptions, supplier inquiries and reconciliation touchpoints.
Governance and process restructuring were executed through the GBS program to standardize controls, improve visibility and establish a single audit trail across countries, improving operational transparency and control. Outcomes reported included faster payments, improved invoice visibility and enhanced audit trails across Asia and global regions, aligning AP processing and control under the Genpact Cora APFlow AP Automation deployment.
