| ADP | Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) | ADP PayForce | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Oticon Australia implemented ADP PayForce as its Payroll application and replaced Access MicrOpay ex Sage MicrOpay for centralized payroll processing. The deployment used ADP PayForce in an outsourcing model to process both Australian and New Zealand payrolls, establishing ADP PayForce as the core Payroll system for the organization.
The implementation covered standard payroll modules and functional workflows including processing timesheets via Employee Self Service, end to end leave management including parental leave, off cycle pay runs, back pays and adjustments, and full new hire processing for monthly payroll cycles. ADP PayForce handled year end payment summaries and supported routine payroll tasks such as leave accruals, underpayment and overpayment corrections, where Oticon staff prepared and validated Excel spreadsheets using Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs before submission.
Operational coverage included two scheduled payroll runs on the 15th and on the 30th or 31st of each month, with off cycle runs predominantly used for new hires and adjustments. Day to day operational responsibilities were distributed, with Oticon managing daily email and telephone enquiries, data entry and verification of new hires processed by ADP, and checking that timesheets were processed accurately in ESS, while ADP executed outsourced payroll calculations and pay runs.
Governance and process controls focused on verification steps and follow up workflows, including reconciliation of returned superannuation contributions, follow up on enquiries originating from the prior Access MicrOpay environment, and interpretation of Shop Retail and Clerical award rules for payroll classification. The rollout emphasized operational handoffs between internal payroll administrators and ADP, maintaining audit oriented verification of timesheet processing and ad hoc off cycle pay run governance.
