Oildex Legacy Oildex OpenInvoice AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2011 2012
In 2011 Paramount Resources Ltd implemented Oildex OpenInvoice as its vendor e-invoicing solution. The deployment is categorized under AP Automation and was introduced to centralize supplier invoice intake and standardize vendor relations processes across the organization. Oildex OpenInvoice was configured to accept electronic invoice submissions at no cost to suppliers, enforce structured invoice data, and capture mandatory attachments. Functional capabilities implemented include real time invoice receipt confirmation, electronic routing of invoices directly to the responsible department, automated dispute notifications to vendors, and a vendor portal for monitoring invoice progress. The solution requires suppliers to submit detailed invoice metadata such as Site or Department Code, Cost Center and/or AFE Number, Location or UWI, the Paramount recipient name and their signature, and to attach signed backup documents like work orders, field tickets, or packing slips. Operational coverage centers on Vendor Relations and AP Automation workflows, extending to field operations that provide site and UWI identifiers. The system changed how supplier-submitted documentation is captured and stored by shifting attachments to the electronic invoice package. Integration points are internal and process oriented, linking supplier submission flows to departmental routing and dispute handling rather than named external systems. Governance and rollout included formalized invoice requirements for suppliers and an enforced cutoff for paper and emailed invoices. As stated by Paramount, additional backup that was previously provided with paper invoices must now be uploaded and signed electronically. Explicitly stated benefits of the implementation include immediate receipt acknowledgement upon vendor submission, direct electronic routing to the appropriate department, immediate vendor notification when an invoice is disputed, and vendor visibility into invoice status.
