In 2019 Paymentsense deployed PAX Mobile POS as the central Point Of Sale device for its Dojo terminal offering, establishing the PAX Mobile POS as the core smart terminal across the merchant base. The implementation used the PAX A920 hardware form factor, and Paymentsense positioned the PAX Mobile POS to support face to face and mobile payments for UK small and medium sized merchants.
PAX Mobile POS served as the Dojo smart terminal and was configured to handle payments acceptance and ePOS integrations, aligning with standard Point Of Sale functional workflows. Functional modules included device based payment processing, terminal configuration and provisioning, and integrated ePOS connectivity to support checkout and inventory orchestration at the merchant point of sale.
Architecturally the deployment centered on device level processing using the PAX A920 platform, combined with backend service integration to Paymentsense Dojo services and merchant ePOS systems. The implementation emphasized a mobile device architecture to enable in store and on the move acceptance, and integrated device management for remote provisioning and software updates.
Governance and operational rollout focused on UK merchant coverage and merchant onboarding workflows, with Paymentsense using the PAX Mobile POS to streamline onboarding and integrated POS workflows for Dojo customers. The record describes widespread deployment across UK SMB merchants, positioning the PAX Mobile POS as the operational entry point for Paymentsense Dojo payment and ePOS services.
