In 2010 Peek & Cloppenburg implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR platform to centralize HR Payroll Services and personnel administration for its Düsseldorf HR operations. The deployment positioned SAP HCM (HR) as the system of record for employee master data and organizational structure within Core HR, aligning HR processes with the retailer's HR service team.
The implementation focused on SAP Organizational Management to generate and maintain organizational structure, and on Personnel Administration to administer personal data and keep personnel files up to date. Configuration work included preparing data for contracts, processing home office agreements, and establishing role based authorization assignments inside SAP HCM (HR) to control access to ESS and MSS functions.
Operational support and incident handling were routed through an established ticketing workflow, with Jira used to log and resolve ESS and MSS problems reported by employees. Day to day operational coverage was situated in the HR Payroll Services function, with work study resources supporting data entry, organizational updates, and personnel file maintenance in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein Westfalen, Deutschland.
Governance centered on structured personnel file management, authorization assignment procedures, and an ESS MSS ticket escalation path, embedding change control into HR transactional workflows. The project narrative ties Peek & Cloppenburg SAP HCM (HR) Core HR to concrete operational tasks such as contract data preparation, organizational management, and authorization stewardship.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Retail | Retail Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2015 |
In 2013, Peek & Cloppenburg implemented SAP Retail using the SAP IS-Retail Fashion Template on ECC 6.0 to standardize core retail operations within a Retail Management program. The implementation designated a Retail Lead for Master Data responsible for processes, cleansing and migration of Sites, Vendors, Customers, Merchandise Categories and Characteristics.
Implementation work concentrated on master data governance and the SAP Retail article and merchandise master constructs, configuring merchandise category hierarchies and characteristic-driven assortments to support fashion assortments. SAP Retail was configured to manage merchandise categories, article characteristics and vendor and customer master records, aligning data schemas to ECC 6.0 transactional retail flows. The project included cleansing routines and staging for data migration into the ECC 6.0 environment.
Operational coverage centered on corporate merchandising, procurement and store operations across Peek & Cloppenburg sites in Germany, with the Retail Lead coordinating cross-functional inputs for vendor and customer data. Integrations were realized inside the ECC 6.0 landscape to ensure master data availability for merchandising and supply chain processes. Data migration workstreams encompassed mapping, transformation and validation of site, vendor and customer records.
Governance shifted to centralized master data ownership under the Retail Lead, instituting repeatable cleansing and migration processes and sign off workflows for merchandise category and characteristic changes. The engagement positions SAP Retail as the authoritative application for retail master data within Peek & Cloppenburg Retail Management operations.
