In 2015 PGGM selected SimCorp’s Data Warehouse and implemented SimCorp Business Intelligence to establish a single source of truth for its pension and asset management operations in the Netherlands. The SimCorp Business Intelligence deployment, categorized as Analytics and BI, was positioned to provide end users with business intelligence tooling to accelerate regulatory and management reporting.
Deployment architecture combined a central Data Warehouse layer with BI and self service reporting layers, consolidating fund, portfolio and transaction data into standardized data models and a unified reporting catalog. Functional capabilities implemented included data consolidation and cleansing, dimensional reporting models, scheduled regulatory reports, ad hoc query support and interactive dashboards for business users. The implementation emphasized configurable business rules and metadata management to support consistent regulatory and management reporting outputs.
Operational scope covered pension administration, portfolio management, risk and compliance stakeholders within PGGM in the Netherlands, with rollout of reporting and BI capabilities following the Data Warehouse selection during the implementation phase. Governance changes inferred from the rollout included formalized data stewardship, report approval workflows and training for end users to adopt self service analytics. The stated objective was to speed up regulatory and management reporting through a centralized Data Warehouse and SimCorp Business Intelligence.

In 2019, PGGM implemented Microsoft 365 for Collaboration. The Netherlands-based pension fund manager with about 1,500 employees deployed Microsoft 365 to support corporate collaboration, secure email and document management across its Banking and Financial Services operations.
The Microsoft 365 implementation was provisioned as a cloud-hosted tenant managed centrally for the organization. Functional modules implemented include Exchange Online for email, Microsoft Teams for chat and meetings, SharePoint Online for intranet and document libraries, OneDrive for individual file sync, and the Office productivity suite for desktop and web authoring, delivering standard Collaboration capabilities.
On the public-facing side, PGGM surfaces Microsoft 365 managed content on its website, indicating linkage between the corporate Collaboration environment and external content delivery. Operational coverage focused on corporate communications, knowledge management and team collaboration across corporate functions within the Netherlands.
Governance was organized around centralized administration, role based access controls and compliance-oriented configuration appropriate to financial services, with policy-driven controls for information protection and user provisioning. Microsoft 365 was established as the primary Collaboration platform for PGGM and appears as the core Collaboration application referenced in their public site source.

In 2006, PGGM upgraded SDL Tridion as its enterprise content management platform, a project recorded under the Content Management category. The SDL Tridion upgrade was executed as part of a €2 million annual project portfolio overseen by the portfolio manager who translated strategy into projects and reported progress to the management board.
The SDL Tridion implementation focused on CMS capabilities typical of large public facing sites, including structured content authoring, template-driven publishing, workflow orchestration, and content governance to support consistent site management. Configuration work emphasized site-level templating and publishing pipelines to manage the two primary web properties, pggm.nl and pfzw.nl, under a unified content administration model.
This project sat alongside a broader program that included separation of policy and implementation for PGGM Advies front office activities and the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics as a central CRM information system, with information systems and both internet sites explicitly included in the scope. Operational coverage concentrated on front office and corporate web publishing channels, aligning content management workstreams with business function changes required by the separation initiative.
Governance for the portfolio was formalized through the portfolio manager role, which included monitoring and controlling the portfolio, coaching colleague project managers, and reporting to executive leadership. Rollout sequencing prioritized site continuity and content governance, and the portfolio budgetary envelope for these coordinated projects was €2 million.
