In 2018 Pharmaniaga Manufacturing migrated Xilnex POS to Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS. Pharmaniaga Manufacturing implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS as its Point Of Sale solution to consolidate retail transaction processing and core ERP functions across its pharmacy operations.
The deployment consolidated retail POS front ends at Royale Pharmacy sites with Microsoft Dynamics AX serving as the central ERP backbone, supporting Point Of Sale capabilities including transaction processing, cashier workflows, inventory visibility, pricing and promotions configuration, and centralized product master management. Configuration work focused on aligning retail workflows with AX retail and inventory settings, and on defining cashier roles and tender handling within the Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS environment.
Sales transactions were integrated into Dynamics AX inventory and financial modules to align retail receipts with back office inventory control and accounting records. Operational coverage targeted Pharmaniaga's pharmacy retail operations in Malaysia, with internal IT staff retaining system administration and first line support responsibilities following the migration.
Governance was managed by an internal migration project team led by the system administrator who previously operated Xilnex POS, the same administrator responsible for identifying system issues and driving the migration effort. The project team handled configuration, user role provisioning, cutover planning, and process changes required to move retail points of sale into the Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS platform.
