Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Pike Engineering centralized Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as part of a broader Oracle Cloud HCM rollout across Pike Electric and Pike Engineering locations serving electricity, gas utilities, and telecommunications businesses across the United States. Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management was implemented as the Absence and Leave Management component of the Cloud HCM deployment to standardize time off, leave entitlements, and absence workflows. The implementation included configuration work across multiple HCM modules, notably Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Compensation, Benefits Self-service and Core HR alongside Absence and Payroll components. Configuration artifacts and governance were captured in BR100 and a configuration workbook, and Life events, Open enrollments and ACA modules within Benefits were configured and tested. Field-to-field mapping activities were performed from the existing HR system into Oracle Cloud HCM, and HDL and HSDL processes were used for bulk and postproduction data loads. The team resolved postproduction functional issues across Recruiting, Compensation, Performance Management and Learning Management as part of stabilization. Integration work focused on connecting Oracle Cloud HCM with multiple health and welfare benefit vendors, designing and testing inbound and outbound file exchanges, and integrating the Oracle environment with internal downstream systems to automate HR data flows. Cutover planning identified scheduled outbound files and data movement patterns during go-live while test scripts were prepared for quarterly Oracle patching. Reports were developed and embedded in dashboards and made available on the springboard to support operational reporting needs. Technical tooling included use of page composer, Application Composer, Structure, Transaction Design Studio and sandbox management for iterative configuration. Governance and operational processes were established through weekly cadence calls with business and offshore teams, business user training to adopt Responsive User Interfaces instead of Classic Pages, and documented approval logic changes using BPM. Security design defined data roles and security privileges with auto assign rules to automate access provisioning, and configuration and test results were documented. The project team served as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, and managed SRs with Oracle for product specific issues and conferencing related defects. Ongoing support commitments included hyper care and production support, coordination with Oracle for quarterly feature deployments and resolution of data and security issues, and maintenance of the configuration documentation and reports for operational continuity. Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management remains the Absence and Leave Management component within Pike Engineerings centralized HCM footprint and is supported through scripted loads, documented configurations and established governance practices.

IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Pike Engineering deployed IBM Maximo as part of an Enterprise Asset Management program to support electric system operations. IBM Maximo was applied to asset documentation and work management, and it was used alongside BOUD to produce electrical construction prints. Configuration emphasized core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as asset registry, work order workflows, and scheduled maintenance orchestration consistent with category standard practices for asset lifecycle management. The implementation included backend configuration and database reliability work to ensure operators of the Energy Management System had consistent access to asset and work data. Integrations connected IBM Maximo with BOUD and the Energy Management System back-end, enabling drawing generation and data exchange between engineering and operations systems. Operational coverage centered on engineering teams and electric system operators, with explicit activity at the Fort Mill, South Carolina site where an Engineering Technologist supported system operations. Governance and process changes were delivered through in-house configuration and automation, with the Engineering Technologist role responsible for custom scripts and workflow automations that increased process efficiency. IBM Maximo functioned as the Enterprise Asset Management backbone for asset records, prints, and operator-facing workflows during the 2018 deployment.
