In 2016, P&R Electrical implemented Epicor Quick Ship as a Shipping Management solution, deployed alongside their Epicor Prophet 21 ERP environment. The deployment was hosted on P&R Electricals private cloud and designed to operate across the companys retail and distribution footprint that spans 12 branches in South Australia.
Epicor Quick Ship was configured to provide core Shipping Management capabilities including order to shipment orchestration, label generation and manifesting, carrier rate selection and rules based shipment processing. The implementation was aligned with inventory and order data models in Epicor Prophet 21 to ensure shipment eligibility, packing validation and fulfillment workflows used synchronized stock and pricing information.
Integrations centered on direct operational integration with Epicor Prophet 21, using the ERP as the source of truth for orders, inventory and invoicing while Epicor Quick Ship handled shipment execution and documentation. Operational coverage included branch dispatch teams, warehouse and sales order functions, enabling cross branch stock checks and shipment orchestration tied to point of sale and order entry transactions.
Governance and rollout followed the broader Epicor program cadence used by P&R Electrical, with structured testing, data reconciliation and staff training to meet multi site operational consistency. The implementation emphasized process orchestration between order management, inventory control and shipping execution, and Epicor Quick Ship was positioned to support fulfillment workflows without adding separate external carrier integrations in the initial deployment.
