Development used Visual Studio 2012 and ASP.NET, applying LINQ to SQL for data binding, ADO.NET for database operations including DataAdapter, DataSet, and DataReader, and Entity Framework Code First for data modeling. Integration work delivered SOAP or REST style Sage ERP X3 web services consumed by an ASP.NET front end and reporting tools, and relied on SQL Server as the system of record. The front end used DevExpress components such as Data Grid, Grid View, Data Editors, Menu, Navigation Bar, Form Layout, and Document Viewer to surface ledger entries, transactional forms, and document output. Functional coverage targeted financial management workflows typical for ERP Financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing. Governance and rollout emphasized application-level service contracts and operational handover, with developers responsible for service creation, database schema deployment, and publishing the sale software to servers and users. User training accompanied the go live to embed new workflows and reporting access patterns within the laboratory finance organization.
