The Oracle PeopleSoft ERP rollout configured core financial modules aligned with observed operational activities, including General Ledger for monthly ledger reconciliation, Accounts Payable for invoice classification and payment coding, Procurement and procurement card reconciliation, Cash Management to process incoming and outgoing funds and transfers, and tax processing workflows for W2, 1099 Misc and 1042S federal and state tax payments. The implementation supported automated creation of journal entries for state tax payments and structured daily tax report uploads and reconciliations as part of routine accounting operations.
Operational integrations were implemented with existing treasury and reporting systems explicitly referenced in internal procedures, PeopleSoft receiving transactional inputs for procurement card reconciliation while treasury operations used a Treasury Administration System TAS and CORE for fund movements. Daily reconciliation processes included automated or manual ingestion of Wells bank statements, and Oracle PeopleSoft ERP transactional data fed reporting and reconciliation workflows using Business Objects, Dodeca Reporting, and Excel spreadsheets to compile account information and support monthly reconciliations.
Governance and process changes centered on finance operational controls and workflow standardization, including reconciliations of daily tax reports, review of unclaimed documents to ensure compliance with documentation and signatures, interaction protocols with client specialists, managers and directors for outgoing wires, ACH and check approvals, and structured customer service request handling for check status.
