| Mercer | Legacy | Mercer Darwin Benefits (formerly Thomsons Online Benefits) | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Priory Group deployed Mercer Darwin Benefits (formerly Thomsons Online Benefits) as its Benefits Administration platform. The deployment was executed as part of a wider shared services build out under the Group Head of People Services remit, covering three divisions and approximately 21,000 employees across permanent and bank worker populations and aligning benefits management with central HR and payroll operations.
Mercer Darwin Benefits was configured as a centralized benefits portal to manage enrollment, pension communications and benefits lifecycle workflows, supporting the Group Head of People Services responsibility for reward and post employment compliance. The implementation complemented concurrent HRIS work, and the benefits portal served as the primary interface for employee benefits administration and communications.
Operational alignment was established between the benefits portal and other HR technology components that were implemented in parallel. The programme implemented payroll and People Manager modules of iTrent and deployed 3DMarcomms Prospects for pre-employment compliance, with the benefits platform positioned to consume HR and payroll data and to support end to end benefits and pension processes across the employee lifecycle.
Governance and rollout were executed inside a new shared services operating model, with divisional lifecycle service teams, documented SLAs and KPIs, and staged integration activity to onboard acquisitions and divestments. The implementation was delivered alongside a six month integration of a 4,500-person entity into payroll, pre-employment, ER and HR systems and a Transition Services Agreement covering 2,500 employees, and it contributed to measurable people and operational outcomes cited by People Services leadership.
