The implementation emphasized standard BackGround Screening capabilities such as candidate ordering and adjudication, multi-jurisdictional criminal and identity checks, status tracking, and result delivery into HR workflows. Configuration work focused on aligning screening packages with role profiles and automating order triggers from hiring events to reduce manual case creation and improve auditability.
Operational integration was coordinated with Procore business systems, including Workday and Culture Amp, and the Sterling Talent Solutions platform, enabling screening events to be driven by onboarding, termination, and mobility transactions. The deployment covered lifecycle touchpoints from offer acceptance through personnel file updates, and it was used alongside payroll, recruiting, and orientation processes to enforce consistent screening workflows.
Governance activity around the rollout included data entry oversight and collaboration between People Services and Business Systems teams to ensure personnel records and screening data remained accurate and compliant with HR policies. The Sterling Background Check implementation supported Procore through high-impact HR events, including large scale terminations and IPO readiness auditing, by providing structured screening records and traceable decision workflows.

In 2020, Procore deployed Onit SimpleLegal as its Legal Practice Management platform to centralize GTM contracting and enable a dedicated GTM Legal enablement function. Onit SimpleLegal was implemented to support the revenue organization by managing contract templates, playbooks, and the end to end contracting lifecycle within Procore's Legal, Regulatory & Compliance organization.
The implementation focused on contract lifecycle management capabilities, including ticketing driven intake, self service contracting pathways, redlining and collaborative markups, multi stage approvals, signature orchestration, and archival. Procore used Onit SimpleLegal to maintain GTM templates and playbooks, manage translations and regional versions, and surface seller facing collateral and guidance within a sales online portal.
Operationally the Onit SimpleLegal deployment was integrated into Procore workflows with explicit connections to Salesforce for seller portal and transactional context, DocuSign for signature handling, Jira for ticketing and intake management, Google applications and Slack for collaboration and content management, and parallel CLM awareness with Ironclad noted by the team. The solution acted as the functional CLM tool for cross functional partners including Sales, Finance, IT, Security, Product, Engineering, and Marketing while reporting into the Office of the Chief Legal Officer and Legal Operations for governance.
Governance workstreams reorganized around GTM Legal requirements, with the Senior Manager, GTM Legal Enablement role owning template stewardship, playbook updates, content alignment across CLM instances, and operational reporting. The role also led project management for GTM Legal initiatives and OKRs, supported new hire onboarding, and collaborated with IT and Legal Operations to develop metrics, reports, and dashboards for cross functional visibility into key contract terms and transactional data.
The Onit SimpleLegal deployment positioned Procore's GTM Legal team to systematically manage high volume contracting workflows and seller enablement activities while providing the structure for ongoing process improvements and contract governance. The implementation is described within the context of Legal Practice Management and is aligned to enabling sales operations and accelerating deal velocity.
