In 2019, Pyrotek implemented Infor VISUAL as its Manufacturing ERP to centralize fabrication and production control for its global high temperature materials business. The initial deployment targeted the fabrication department and production planning activities overseen by the Operations Manager, establishing Infor VISUAL as the transactional backbone for shop floor order execution, materials coordination and scheduling.
The implementation emphasized standard Manufacturing ERP modules including production planning and scheduling, material requirements planning MRP, shop floor control, bill of materials management, inventory and warehouse management, costing, and quality tracking. Infor VISUAL was configured to support workflows described by fabrication leadership, such as evaluating customer orders against available labor and materials, manufacturing to plan, order release and routings, labor reporting and time capture, and communicating plant progress multiple times per week.
Operational alignment focused on embedding Planning, Production and Supervisory roles into a single transactional system rather than introducing named external integrations. Coverage was centered on the fabrication department while providing cross functional visibility to Planning for scheduling, HR for workforce assignments and Finance for costing and budgeting processes. Infor VISUAL served as the authoritative source for production orders, work in progress status and component consumption used in regular production reviews.
Governance and process changes were organized around the Operations Manager and production supervisors who used Infor VISUAL to standardize production plans, enforce shop floor procedures and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Change management emphasized role based access, training for production supervision and a formal production reporting cadence to reinforce accountability for on time delivery, quality and cost control. The implementation reinforced enterprise resource planning practices at the manufacturing execution layer and centralized operational workflows for Pyrotek fabrication teams.

In 2020 Pyrotek implemented Microsoft Power BI to centralize warehouse and quality reporting, aligning the deployment with the Analytics and BI category. The Microsoft Power BI implementation targeted the Columbia City, Indiana site and focused on operational visibility for shipping, receiving, inventory and quality management functions.
The implementation delivered a set of purpose-built Microsoft Power BI assets, including executive and operational dashboards, a data model for ABC cycle count monitoring, shipment volume and parcel mix reports, and quality control scorecards for calibration, gauges and packing inspections. Dashboards included drill through and filter capabilities for site supervisors, scheduled refresh of operational datasets, and role based report access to separate warehouse and quality views. Workflows emphasized monitoring of the 280 cycle counts performed monthly and tracking the documented 99.7 percent cycle count accuracy that the site maintained.
Power BI was configured to consume operational data from the companys existing systems, including Dynamics 365, Visual 9 ERP and ADP, using standard connectors and data ingestion patterns to unify workforce, inventory and transactional shipment records. The implementation supported cross functional reporting across warehouse, shipping, receiving and quality departments, and the local warehouse manager led training sessions while traveling to other Pyrotek locations to onboard hourly staff and supervisors on report consumption.
Governance was implemented at the site level, combining SOP and DCR documentation with Power BI access controls and a cadence for report validation tied to quality processes. Operationalization included training for warehouse and quality managers in report interpretation, and using Power BI outputs to inform SOP creation and daily shipping and receiving decisions. The narrative centers on Pyrotek Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI adoption for warehouse and quality business functions at Columbia City in 2020.
