SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) Plant Maintenance ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2017
In 2016 Queensland Department of Education implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM). The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) implementation covered the Plant Maintenance application to support maintenance management and asset lifecycle business functions across the department. Post-implementation testing and automation work was formalized through a Tricentis Tosca program executed between Jan 2023 and Sep 2024, which extended automated coverage to PM alongside FICO, MM, PS and IM processes and interfaces. Tosca test design included scanning and module builds, reusable libraries, templates, execution lists, test events and test data management, and leveraged the Tosca API for automation orchestration. Integrations were implemented to support unattended execution and test management, specifically qTest test management integration and Distributed Execution Agents for unattended runs, plus test coverage of SAPGUI, Fiori and NetWeaver transaction flows and external interfaces. Test scheduling used qTest to queue automated scripts for execution in DEX, and troubleshooting work required coordination with the DoE technical team and Tricentis. Governance and operational change focused on build and maintenance processes, conventions, change control, role definitions and release planning for automated testing. Workshops and hands-on training targeted SAP Functional Analysts and Change and Release teams, and administrative processes were established for repository structure, user groups, reporting, configuration and user management. The automation program delivered substantial time savings on cyber and regression testing through unattended execution of automated scripts.
