The deployment was anchored in a newly formed Data and Business Intelligence team, operating inside an Agile service-desk model to deliver GL and transactional reporting across multiple business departments.
Implementation work focused on developing and enhancing OBIEE data models and report catalogues, with explicit responsibility for GL reporting and transactional MI. The team produced key management information reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, EPM Workspace and the Oracle Smartview Excel plugin, while creating and maintaining data visualisation dashboards with BI Publisher and Tableau. The master and alternative Charts of Accounts were maintained as authoritative inputs that fed the OBIEE reporting suite and related EPM reports.
Operational integration included routine data cleanse activities, data quality checks, and data migration tasks completed in support of Phase 3 Go Live, linking Oracle Fusion reporting outputs into the OBIEE data models. Work covered finance and transactional business functions and extended report provisioning to numerous departments, reflecting an enterprise reporting footprint rather than a single-team initiative.
Governance and process work centered on maintaining the master CoAs, strengthening data governance principles, and evolving database and Oracle Fusion reporting knowledge to support ongoing report maintenance and enhancements.
