Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 RAE Energy Coating co-implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its core financial system, initiating a targeted ERP Financial rollout tied directly to post acquisition diligence findings. The implementation followed an explicit blueprint developed from due diligence on key financial and operational metrics, with a focus on establishing a finance shared services organization and formalizing the project profitability and customer contracting model. The deployment concentrated on core financial modules, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, procurement, intercompany accounting, and project accounting capabilities to support contract billing and project profitability tracking. As the global finance SME, the project lead co-implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP for approximately 85 users, configuring intercompany processes and standardizing AR, AP, GL, and procurement workflows to align with the finance shared services blueprint. Operational coverage emphasized the finance organization and centralized shared services functions, with configuration workstreams aligned to invoicing and contracting workflows and project-level cost and revenue recognition. The implementation included role-based access and process standardization that connected project profitability controls to customer contracting logic, ensuring consistent accounting treatment across entities. Governance and rollout activities focused on embedding standardized workflows and intercompany controls into day to day operations, addressing a leadership vacuum by elevating finance subject matter expertise into system design and process ownership. The program produced a documented blueprint for ongoing finance shared services governance, operationalized intercompany procedures, and standardized transactional processes for AR, AP, GL, procurement, project accounting, and contract billing.
