Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Rent-A-Center, Inc. implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform, deploying Oracle Fusion components alongside Procurement and Sales Cloud modules to centralize transactional processing and reporting. The implementation emphasized configuration, integration, and ongoing user support, with technical responsibilities focused on integration patterns, reporting, and data conversion decisions to support the company’s rent-to-own retail operations. The deployment included Oracle Cloud ERP reporting and analytics via BI Reports, OTBI Reports, and ad-hoc reporting to meet complex query needs, and delivered finance-oriented artifacts such as an AP Invoice aging report with as of date and an Unpaid check report. Role-based access was enforced through user creation, role assignment, and custom role development within Fusion, and data models were developed to feed Salesforce and a Customer Micro DB third-party system. Integrations were implemented using Oracle Integration Cloud and AWS tooling, including OIC outbound integrations to LTE and HighTouch external systems and an OIC inbound service receiving Inventory Transfer Orders from Mercury. Additional integration patterns used Python scripts and AWS Lambda to POST Sale Shipments and Transfer Orders via REST APIs into Oracle Cloud, a PL/SQL Advanced Queue package to push delta information from the Enterprise Database, an initial load package to stage data from the enterprise data warehouse into event staging tables, and an AWS DMS process to migrate data from Oracle databases into Salesforce. Operational coverage spanned store sales and operations tied to Rent-A-Center’s Enterprise Database and the SIMS suite of store-facing modules, supporting inventory management, customer management, contract handling, collections, and sales generation workflows. Governance activities included active engagement with architects and functional staff for solution design, escalation to Oracle Support for technical issue resolution, and defining when to leverage specific integration, reporting, and conversion tools to align operational processes with the Oracle Cloud ERP environment.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Retail (ex Retek) Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Rent-A-Center, Inc. implemented Oracle Retail (ex Retek) as a core element of its Retail Management platform to align merchandising and inventory processes across its distribution footprint. The program ran in parallel with successful deployments of 25 Warehouse Management Systems across the United States and Mexico, forming an integrated operational backbone. Oracle Retail applications implemented included RMS and REIM, delivering merchandise planning, pricing controls, and enterprise inventory management capabilities consistent with Retail Management functionality. Warehouse Management System configurations were designed to support receiving, putaway, picking, and replenishment workflows, and were tuned to work with Oracle Retail data models for item master and inventory visibility. Integrations were explicitly built between the WMS installations and Oracle Retail applications RMS and REIM to synchronize inventory transactions, purchase receipts, and distribution allocations. The operational scope covered warehouse sites in the U.S. and Mexico and impacted supply chain, distribution operations, procurement, and merchandising business functions. Governance for the initiative included annual budgeting for strategic projects, vendor engagement and RFP processes, and formal product selection and finalization workflows managed by Rent-A-Center personnel. Rollout planning emphasized phased WMS integration to Oracle Retail systems and alignment of procurement and vendor evaluation processes with enterprise operational requirements.
