In 2012, Rochling Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial solution for the Automotive division, aligning core finance processes with consolidated SAP Basis responsibilities. The implementation was centered at the Worms site while supporting a globally operating Automotive business with more than 7,300 employees across 60 locations in 20 countries, establishing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the finance backbone for that division.
The technical architecture combined SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with a heterogeneous server landscape of IBM i and Intel systems, upgraded to Power7 servers and DS family storage arrays. Storage virtualization was introduced through a SAN Volume Controller SVC installed as a stretched cluster, enabling cross site mirroring of application data and a third room configured as the quorum disk, while backups were handled to an LTO library.
Operations and managed services were defined and executed by UBL Managed Services, with UBL responsible for IBM i and Intel system operations and permanent monitoring using Nagios, and iCAS AG providing SAP support for SAP Basis tasks. Service definitions included regular infrastructure services, continuous monitoring, and 24 hour support coverage to ensure availability of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and associated applications such as Lotus Notes on site in Worms.
Governance and process changes centered on shifting routine system administration to the managed services model, securing predictable qualified care and making specialists available outside core working hours. Reported outcomes included increased IT availability, improved storage and application performance through virtualization and stretched clustering, and the ability for internal IT staff to concentrate more on application support and business processes.

In 2015, Rochling Group deployed an In-House ATS as an Applicant Tracking System on its public careers site, using the In-House ATS to handle online job postings and application intake. The In-House ATS captures candidate submissions through the company career portal, maintains a searchable candidate database, supports status tracking and recruiter workflows, and provides standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities such as application forms and recruiter communication templates.
The application is internally developed and web-integrated with jobs.roechling.com where applicants are routed into the In-House ATS form workflow, enabling centralized capture of CVs and applicant data for HR and talent acquisition. Governance and operational configuration emphasize centralized recruiting processes and role based access for HR users, with automated candidate status transitions and workflow orchestration to standardize hiring procedures.

In 2021, Rochling Group implemented Creactives Spend Analysis as a focused procurement analytics deployment in the Analytics and BI category. The rollout was driven by Röchling Automotive, which adopted Creactives TSV8 spend-data management to ingest and standardize purchase orders, invoices and frame contracts to improve procurement visibility and supplier rationalization.
Creactives Spend Analysis was configured to perform data cleansing, enrichment, deduplication and governance across spend records, with automated classification rules applied to create a normalized spend taxonomy. Functional capabilities implemented included spend-data reconciliation, supplier consolidation logic and rule-based classification workflows consistent with Analytics and BI spend management patterns.
Operational scope concentrated on procurement and spend analytics in Europe, with the company headquarters in Germany serving as the primary rollout locus, and the project aimed to enable automated classification and identification of savings opportunities across the group's global footprint. The implementation explicitly targeted purchase orders, invoices and frame contract records to support procurement visibility and supplier rationalization efforts.
Governance and process changes emphasized centralized stewardship of cleansed spend records and rule governance for deduplication and classification, supporting procurement teams and category managers. The program was positioned to enable automated classification and the identification of savings opportunities rather than reporting measured outcomes.
