In 2017 Roofmart implemented Epicor Prophet 21 as its Distribution ERP to centralize inventory purchasing and branch operations for its Windsor, Ontario location. The deployment supported operational control of a multi-million dollar branch budget and day-to-day commercial delivery activity.
Epicor Prophet 21 is used for procurement and inventory control workflows, and Roofmart pairs the application with Workflow software to automate order processing and picking activities. Configuration emphasis included inventory purchasing flows, order fulfillment sequencing, and inventory runway controls to optimize picking efficiency.
The implementation integrates Epicor Prophet 21 with Workflow software to coordinate purchasing, picking, and delivery tasks for the Windsor branch where five employees and two commercial delivery trucks are managed. Operational scope is branch level with direct impact on inventory management, warehouse picking workflows, and commercial delivery coordination.
Governance and process change were driven through collaboration with executive leadership to create a new Inventory Runway program, which streamlined productivity by nearly 40 percent when measured by time spent picking orders.
