Oracle Legacy Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Rural Electrification Corporation implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as part of an Oracle ERP upgrade to R12, positioning the application within the AP Automation category to standardize invoice to payment workflows. The deployment was executed on site and focused on stabilizing core payables functions while aligning finance procedures with the upgraded Oracle release. The Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable implementation included configuration of core AP capabilities, including supplier master maintenance, invoice processing, payment processing, and matching controls consistent with AP Automation functional patterns. Functional delivery included detailed requirement artifacts such as BR100 and MD 050 functional design documents, development of RICEW components, PL/SQL based procedures and functions, and BI Publisher reports to support payables reporting and automation. Integrations were explicitly developed between Payables and adjacent financial and HR systems, including a custom interface between Oracle HRMS and Oracle Payables, and an interface linking Oracle HCM payroll outputs to the Oracle General Ledger for financial posting. Operational scope covered finance functions for accounts payable, payroll reconciliation touchpoints, and general ledger posting workflows, with on site support for day to day operations and ongoing enhancements. Governance and rollout followed a structured methodology, driven by workshops, TO BE process documentation, Functional Design Documents, published Functional Test Plans and Functional Test Scripts, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing with defect triage and signoffs. The program included end user training and change control for modifications, followed by production deployment and client signoffs, and the project documentation and process improvements were reported to have improved business process efficiency.
