In 2017 Samba Financial Group implemented Temenos T24 Core Banking. The rollout was executed as part of a broader UAE merger-driven program that required consolidation of anti-money laundering tooling and underlying data platforms.
The implementation included configuration and mapping of transaction and customer data feeds from Temenos T24 to SAS AML, and an AML database migration from Teradata to Oracle. The engagement produced detailed design documents and delivered design walkthroughs to the SAS vendor and the AML compliance team to align data models and interfacing patterns.
A change in the core banking application from intellect to Temenos T24 necessitated reworking ETL and message feeds, the team provided end-to-end data mapping between T24 and SAS AML and supported integration test cycles. The program supported multiple validation phases including dry runs, development testing, silver and gold runs, and five dress rehearsals executed as mock merger scenarios to validate end-state operations.
Governance activities emphasized operational readiness and vendor alignment, the project team managed issues in the absence of the vendor and remediated specific production and test defects including the SAS10020 scenario, memory-related faults, post AGP mail notification failures, and user synchronization errors. Temenos T24 Core Banking served as the central transactional source for the consolidated SAS AML implementation across the merger scope.
