JobAps Legacy JobAps Onboarding Onboarding HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission implemented JobAps Onboarding, an Onboarding application, to manage municipal hiring workflows. The deployment used JobAps Onboarding to own job announcements on the city careers page through the JobAps applicant tracking system, centralizing posting and applicant intake for a wide range of professions and levels. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included job posting management and manager intake configuration, applicant screening and communications workflows for approval or denial notifications, and structured test result evaluation to produce lists of eligible candidates. JobAps Onboarding was also used for exam orchestration, supporting training of oral exam managers and subject matter experts on question formulation and exam processes. Operational coverage extended across SFPUC human resources and hiring managers in operational and technical departments, handling applicant inquiries and status notifications as part of the hiring funnel. The implementation incorporated monitoring and verification of employment histories for selected candidates, embedding verification checkpoints into the onboarding progression. Governance changes included formalized manager intake meetings to craft accurate job postings and standardized examiner training to align assessment design with job requirements, creating repeatable workflows within JobAps Onboarding. The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission used JobAps Onboarding to unify posting orchestration, candidate evaluation, exam management, and onboarding verification within municipal HR and hiring functions.
