Operational integration relied on Excel as a complementary data entry and reporting layer, with several dozen Excel templates created to standardize AP and journal entry imports into Microsoft Dynamics SL and to streamline report delivery to operations and executive stakeholders. The implementation covered all operating properties and involved coordination with regional managers for labor reclasses and with executive leadership for budget and lender reporting, indicating cross-functional use across accounting, regional operations, and executive finance. Governance and process changes included a formalized AP batch review and release responsibility, a disciplined monthly bank reconciliation cadence that brought accounts current by six months and maintained ongoing reconciliations, and support for external audits through variance research and corrective entries. The project explicitly simplified AP and journal entry processes through templated Excel-to-system workflows and established recurring monthly close, tax filing, and reporting processes for the properties.
