Configuration work documented for the SAP S/4 HANA implementation included enterprise structure setup, creating Company, Company Code, Plant and Storage Location, and assigning Company Code to Company, Plant to Company Code, and Storage Location to Plant. Master data maintenance activities covered Material Master, bill of materials, Work Center, Routing and Production Version for discrete industry scenarios, and Material Master, BOM, Resource, Recipe and Production Version for process industry scenarios.
Transactional scope within SAP S/4 HANA encompassed Demand Management for Planned Independent Requirements and Sales Orders, full MRP processing, converting Planned Orders to Production Orders or Process Orders, releasing Production or Process Orders, production shop floor paper print, Goods Issue of Production or Process Orders, Confirmation of Production or Process Orders, Goods Receipt of Production or Process Orders, and Technical Close of Order. Governance and operational controls emphasized master data stewardship and order lifecycle governance, demonstrated by configuration of confirmation, goods movements and technical close processes. The rollout approach was narrow and tactical, concentrated on configuration, transaction processing and shop floor procedures during the May to June 2019 window in Bengaluru.
