Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, statutory reporting and cash management, with emphasis on automating business processes, enforcing accounting controls and producing IT MIS reporting. Configuration work included user access management, requirement gathering, project planning and end user training to embed financial workflows into the application.
Operational governance was managed by the internal IT organization, covering budget creation, vendor management, team management, computer system validation and periodic application reviews. The IT team also managed a subsequent upgrade from Navision 2009 to Navision 2016 with GST compliance to align the Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment with Indian tax requirements, and maintained business continuity management, policies and compliance oversight.
