The deployment used Kronos Workforce Central Version 8.0.20 as the core payroll engine to operate multiple weekly and biweekly pay groups and to consolidate corporate payroll processing under a single application.
Configuration and functional coverage included preparation, data entry, balancing and processing of multiple pay groups, handling new hires and terminations, tax calculations, direct deposits, deductions, bonus pays, retro pays and time adjustments. The implementation also supported extensive garnishment processing with over 250 child support, garnishments and IRS levies, and included procedures for preparing manual checks when required.
Operational integrations and governance consisted of uploading ACH files to the bank for funding and running general ledger files for upload into Baan and Plex to maintain finance reconciliation. Day to day governance was vested in a Corporate Payroll Specialist role responsible for producing supporting documents and reports, responding to internal inquiries, executing GL uploads and maintaining balancing controls across payroll and finance functions.
