Operational coverage explicitly encompassed weekly reconciliations of all G.L. accounts, preparation of accruals and prepayments schedules, fortnightly and monthly payroll for 215+ employees across different Australian states, and management of all statutory payroll obligations including worker compensation. Process and governance changes centered on formalizing an accounts payable workflow to enforce on time payment within terms and replacing manual timesheet handling with automated uploads into the payroll module. Those changes resulted in a formal, accurate and time saving accounts payable system, enabled capture of settlement discounts for prompt payment, and reduced payroll processing by one full day each week.
