In 2018, Singapore Exchange implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to centralize core financial operations across the Group and its subsidiaries. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 served as the institution's ERP Financial platform, consolidating statutory and management reporting, general ledger control, and structured month-end close workflows.
The deployment focused on financial reporting and month-end close orchestration, including preparation of audit schedules and monthly variance analysis for assigned entities. Fixed assets management was configured to support creation, maintenance and monthly schedules, including work in progress tracking, and the solution generated audit-ready schedules to support external and internal audit processes.
Operational processes were aligned with the FP&A team, project managers and respective business units to resolve close issues and to prepare regulatory returns and SGX announcements. The implementation covered Group and Subsidiaries reporting scope, with roles and responsibilities defined for monthly closing of accounts and ongoing coordination between entity controllers and central finance.
Governance included routine preparation of returns for regulatory reporting and monthly variance analysis, coupled with formalized audit schedule preparation to support reporting accuracy. The system assisted in the accurate and timely reporting of the Group and Subsidiaries' financial statements and in the preparation of returns for regulatory reporting and SGX announcement.

System testing was completed prior to go-live, with test creation, execution, results verification and release sign-off recorded as part of the rollout.
Governance and project controls were formalized through a steering committee, detailed project plans, budget management and stakeholder engagement to keep the portfolio on track and within budget. Operational scope centered on SGX human resources and compensation processes, with the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation deployment packaged into the euHReka HRIS ecosystem to centralize execution and control. The Vice President HRIS Project Manager acted as a key escalation point for implementation issues and to ensure consistency with the unit’s objectives.
