In 2016, Sky Group, a Comcast Company deployed Adobe Sensei as part of an Adobe Experience Cloud rollout to humanise customer experiences and drive cross-channel personalization. The implementation positioned Adobe Sensei within an Artificial Intelligence Marketing architecture to support marketing, digital analytics, and customer service functions for Sky UK, which serves approximately 22.5 million customers across phone, in-person and online channels.
The deployment combined Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager and Adobe Target with Adobe Sensei to deliver Automated Personalisation and Segment Compare capabilities. Adobe Sensei powered machine learning workflows that replaced laborious, rule-based segmentation with organically discovered, hyper-focused segments and real-time recommendations, enabling fine-grained personalization and actionable intelligence across digital journeys.
Operational integration used Adobe ID to unify customer identities and ingest signals such as app usage and TV viewing into the Experience Cloud data layer, enabling real-time model scoring. Segment Compare, driven by Adobe Sensei, was applied to call centre routing and agent interfaces to surface customer attributes and conversation starters, enabling more relevant human interactions and routing customers to the best representative for their needs.
Governance and process changes shifted teams from manually authoring segment rules to operating ML-driven decisioning workflows, with the digital decisioning and analytics organization steering model configuration and campaign handoffs. Rob McLaughlin, Head of Digital Decisioning and Analytics, led the adoption of AI-first personalization practices to operationalize machine learning across marketing and service workflows.
