In 2013, Snezhnaya Koroleva implemented Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning as an EPM solution to centralize merchandising and financial planning workflows. This Snezhnaya Koroleva Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning EPM deployment targeted merchandising, planning and finance business functions and was executed with implementation support from Weigandt Consulting.
The implementation focused on two explicit modules, Merchandise Financial Planning MFP and Assortment Planning AP, configured to support financial plan rollups, seasonal assortment definitions and store level assortment granularity. Assortment Planning AP was tuned to generate lower level assortments that reflect store location and customer preferences, while MFP provided the financial planning scaffolding for margin management and seasonal budgeting.
Deployment was executed inside the Oracle Retail environment and operated across the retailer's store network in Russia, aligning merchandising, buying and allocation processes with planning outputs. Operational coverage emphasized assortments per store and per location, enabling planners to incorporate local demand signals into assortment decisions and financial forecasts.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, with Weigandt Consulting facilitating configuration, user acceptance and handover to merchandising and finance process owners. The solution optimized assortment planning processes to increase margin and reduce end of season residues, and introducing store level assortment planning improved planning accuracy and contributed to increased profitability.
