In 2014, Sodexo implemented Odoo Invoicing as part of a centralized billing and operations platform for its vending division, addressing accounts payable and receivable workflows under the AP Automation category. The deployment targeted invoice generation and billing cycle automation to support meter-based charging for rented vending machines managed by the business unit.
The implementation included core Odoo modules and customizations for Profit centers management, Contracts management, Product management, Purchase, Stock, and Invoicing, with vending machines management and meters reading developed to capture usage events several times a month. Odoo Invoicing was configured to convert meter reads into recurring and consumption invoices, and to support standard invoicing and accounting requirements for the unit.
The project was executed by Odoo Gold Partner Idealis Consulting and went live in less than a year, consolidating operations that had previously relied on 14 different software packages and databases. Operational coverage focused on the vending division, roughly 50 employees responsible for renting hot drinks, cold drinks and snack machines, and the solution centralized contract and billing data for those activities.
Governance and process changes centered on a unified system of record for contracts, meter readings and invoicing, enabling tighter commercial controls and profit center tracking within the vending business. According to Marc Peeters, General Manager of the Vending Division at Sodexo, the new system recaptured approximately 10 percent of revenues that had been lost under the prior disparate tools.

In 2017, Sodexo Australia deployed Xref Reference to automate pre-employment referencing across its HR and talent acquisition function. Xref Reference, operating in the Candidate Relationship Management category, was adopted to standardize reference workflows for Sodexo's Australian operations and to improve recruiter productivity and candidate experience.
The implementation integrated Xref Reference with SmartRecruiters to embed reference request and verification workflows into the applicant tracking flow. Configuration emphasized automated reference requests, centralized response capture, and automated flagging of anomalies, enabling early detection of reference fraud while reducing manual handoffs.
Rollout focused on the talent acquisition and HR teams in Australia, with governance centered on standardized reference templates and automated workflow routing to recruiters. The Xref Reference deployment was recorded as a Sodexo customer win in 2017 and produced explicit operational outcomes, including an average turnaround reduction to 17 hours and earlier detection of reference fraud, improving recruiter throughput and candidate experience in Sodexo's Australian operations.

In 2015, Sodexo used IBM Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management application during an onsite facilities engagement supporting Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia in Plano, Texas. The deployment ran IBM Maximo 7.5 and was operated by a Facilities Coordinator to process equipment Preventative & Corrective Maintenance work orders as part of routine facility upkeep.
IBM Maximo was configured for work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling, capturing asset records and work history to support maintenance operations and facilities management workflows. The engagement also leveraged FMiQ Quickbase to process subcontractor charge backs and vendor invoices to the client, creating a documented handoff between Maximo work orders and subcontractor billing processes, and governance focused on work order lifecycle control and subcontractor chargeback workflow enforcement.
