In 2013, SSIPL Retail implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial application. The deployment was executed during the IT ERP Manager tenure from January 2012 through December 2014 and centered on NAV9 functional configuration for finance and inventory control.
Configuration work focused on financial modules and inventory management within Microsoft Dynamics NAV, including setup of FIFO based issuance, warehouse functional developments, and expanded system reporting. The implementation produced system-driven reporting that covered roughly 80 percent of reports, and quarterly and annual trial balances were reconciled against system outputs.
Operational capabilities emphasized automated warehouse issuance, bar coding driven transaction capture, and bank reconciliation workflows that were implemented in the ERP Financial layer. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation touched core business functions in finance and warehouse operations, aligning inventory valuation, issuance, and bank reconciliation processes under a single application.
Governance and process change included formalizing FIFO issuance, introducing barcode-enabled transaction controls, and consolidating month end and quarterly reconciliation procedures into the NAV9 operational cadence. As reported during the project period, barcode driven process changes improved bank reconciliation accuracy and reduced monthly rejection rates from 17 percent to 2 percent.
