In 2020 Study Group implemented Wooclap following a year-long pilot in 2019–2020, moving from pilot to organisation-wide licence purchase to support classroom interactivity. The deployment was led by Learning and Development together with Teaching teams in Study Group UK and Europe, with the explicit objective of enhancing student experience and engagement through interactive classroom tools.
The Wooclap implementation focused on the application’s Learning and Development capabilities, emphasizing LMS VLE integration and varied question types as decisive factors in vendor selection. Functional coverage centered on interactive question formats and in-session engagement workflows, with a phased rollout of licences across Study Group centres after the pilot. Governance followed a pilot-to-rollout sequencing driven by L&D and teaching leadership, and integrations were executed to surface Wooclap activity within existing LMS VLE environments to maintain course continuity and instructor workflows.
