In 2015, Sundial Brands implemented Syspro Manufacturing ERP to support Manufacturing ERP functions across ERP and ERP/EDI administration, inventory control and eCommerce operations. The Syspro Manufacturing ERP deployment was governed by a newly established global technology team that took ownership of Help Desk IT Support, ERP and EDI administration, web properties and eCommerce development. This placement aligned the application directly with core manufacturing and fulfillment workflows for the consumer packaged goods business function.
The implementation emphasized configuration of core manufacturing, inventory and EDI capabilities within Syspro Manufacturing ERP, and the team instrumented transactional automation for order processing and inventory reconciliation. ERP/EDI administration was operated as a central discipline, with routine configuration, exception handling and batch transaction management designed to support both back office fulfillment and front end commerce systems. The narrative reflects a pragmatic, operations oriented ERP posture consistent with Manufacturing ERP category expectations.
Systems integration and operational coverage were explicitly managed, the technology team led integrations with DropBox, Concur, Syncplicity, SmartSheet, Google Cloud, Tableau, MaaS360, 8X8, SFDC, Desk.com, SFMC and Google Apps for business, and administered EDI links for trading partner connectivity. The team also served as the primary contact for outsourced IT services management including Salesforce support, ECOM managed services and Google Cloud Support, providing a single escalation path for external vendors and managed services.
Governance was formalized through a change management process created and managed for production changes across all IT systems, used during major migrations including Google Cloud and a Syspro upgrade. The global technology team championed the use of data for technology decision making, and provided technology and project support as the operational logistics function transferred to XPO, embedding release controls and cross functional approval workflows into ongoing operations.
