| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Sunseeker implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform to centralize core financial and operational transaction processing. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment supports manufacturing and shipyard operations as well as commercial sales functions across Sunseeker International Ltd in the United Kingdom.
The implementation runs SAP ECC6 with EHP7 and includes functional modules SAP PS, SAP PP, SAP PM, SAP DMS, SAP MM, and SAP SD, aligning project systems, production planning, plant maintenance, document management, materials management, and sales and distribution workflows. Configuration work included reverting warehouse processes to SAP standard combined with the addition of mobile technology, and a PP order variance management project intended to drive process improvement in production order control.
Operational integration is managed by an IT Applications team of seven that supports SAP ECC6 EHP7 alongside middleware and SaaS components such as Dell Boomi, Salesforce, and SharePoint, reflecting a hybrid application landscape with middleware orchestration. The program included a replatforming of the sales yacht portal to consume SAP master data, and initial project phases for shipyard labour planning and management, with ongoing discussions around maintenance planning applications to extend operational coverage.
Governance is centered on a centralized IT Applications ownership model that coordinates module support, middleware integrations, and phased projects to standardize warehouse and production planning processes. Rollout activity emphasized staged projects and configuration-driven process change, with PP order variance management and warehouse standardization used as governance levers to reshape operational workflows.

In 2018, Sunseeker implemented UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) to support Absence and Leave Management across its production operations. The deployment centralized absence recording and leave scheduling for the Production team and associated supervisors, aligning the application with operational payroll cutoffs and routine reporting requirements.
The implementation configured core absence and leave management capabilities, including holiday booking, absence recording, overtime sheet capture and time-entry validation workflows. Configuration emphasized reporting and payroll-facing output, with Production Administrators responsible for ensuring overtime sheets were signed and hours were entered into UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager to meet payroll deadlines. The application name UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager appears in operational procedures used by Business Managers, Production Managers and Team Leaders.
Operational scope concentrated on the New Quay Road, Poole, Dorset site, covering the Production department and upstream handoffs to Payroll and HR functions. The system operated alongside SAP knowledge and payroll processes referenced in job requirements, and it supported diary and meeting coordination tasks recorded by production administrators. Governance changes focused on formalizing sign-off and data entry responsibilities for absence and overtime, and aligning input cadence to payroll schedules.

In 2016, Sunseeker implemented SAP BusinessObjects as its Analytics and BI platform to centralize HR and management reporting for the Poole site and wider HR function. The work aligned with an HR Systems PMO program and targeted consolidated reporting and dashboard delivery for executive and operational audiences, with SAP BusinessObjects serving as the primary analytics layer.
SAP BusinessObjects was configured to deliver scheduled operational reports, ad hoc analysis, and interactive dashboards. Custom reporting solutions were designed and developed using SQL and advanced Excel to prepare and shape data extracts, and those transformed feeds were consumed into SAP BusinessObjects reporting artifacts and semantic reporting objects to support management decision making.
Integrations explicitly included NGA HR UK and KRONOS as HR data sources, with SQL-based data preparation feeding SAP BusinessObjects reports. Governance and delivery were managed within a PMO framework, overseeing a portfolio of over 50 concurrently running processes across the project lifecycle, with responsibilities including risk assessment and mitigation, contingency planning, compliance evaluation, stakeholder mediation, concise status reporting, and approval in principle of deliverables.
